As a nursing professional, you understand the importance of compliance. In order to protect your safety and those patients you’ll care for, please have the following items handy to upload directly from your phone:

  • a personal photo (”selfie”) – to use as your profile photo
  • a photo of your driver’s license – for proof of identity
  • a photo of your nursing license and license number
  • a photo of any vaccine records you may have (flu shot, etc.)

Note: If you don’t have these vaccination records available, it won’t hold up the registration process, but to be eligible for some assignments, you may be required to have vaccination records. You can always upload these records later too.

Online forms you’ll need to complete:

  • Independent Contractor Agreement
  • IRS W9 Tax Form

You can complete and submit these forms right from your phone or browser.

Tell us about your experience:

You’ll now have a chance to upload some personal information that helps us match you with assignments that match your license level, skills, and any certifications you may have obtained during your development as a licensed healthcare worker. To make this process even easier, please watch our GapNurse 101 video on how easy it is to get started.

Participate in an online interview:

Once you’ve finished setting up your profile in the app, you’ll be invited to participate in a short online interview. During this interview, we’ll ask that you have your photo id (driver’s license, state ID, other) available to show the interviewer. This is a casual meeting that will only take a few minutes but can also be a chance to answer any questions you might have.

Background Check:

After your interview, we’ll conduct a background check to be sure there are no problems with you accepting any of the assignments you’ll be offered. Should anything show up that causes concerns, you may be invited back to participate in a follow-up interview. If you’re aware of any issues that might come up, please feel free to share your concerns during your initial interview or at your convenience.

Once you’ve been approved, you’ll be notified at the email you provided us during your registration process. If there are any hiccups along the way, we’ll reach out to let you know.

While setting up your profile on the app should only take about 15 minutes, background checks typically take a few days to complete. That’s all there is to it.

Simply log in to the GapNurse app, go to the Available Assignment tab and choose assignments that suit your interest and comfort level as a nurse. You can even become eligible to receive same-day pay after completing a few assignments, so get started now and enjoy earning with GapNurse.
